ABOUT US

Kenya Livestock Marketing Council (KLMC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the livelihood and resilience of pastoral communities and other livestock keepers/producers by providing services that effectively respond to their needs. This can be achieved through initiation, planning and implementation of appropriate marketing strategies for sustainable and integrated development by ensuring that available resources are mobilized and managed efficiently in collaboration with stakeholders. It operates in fourteen (14) pastoral and agro-pastoral counties with branches in all the fourteen counties.

KLMC provides support in the attainment of balanced regional development, in poverty reduction and economic growth. The implementation strategy adopted by KLMC is guided by already developed strategic plans, whose process will support the country’s efforts towards achieving vision 2030.

KLMC has recently been awarded a project funded by MEDA (Lead Firm Supply Chain Impact Acceleration). As part of this project, KLMC wants to execute a feasibility study on the market for livestock and livestock products
