Established in Dar es Salaam in the 1980s with the incorporation of Organic Chemicals, the Catalyst Group has been providing raw material and finished product solutions for businesses in East Africa since. With highly established supply networks and chains, the Catalyst Group believes in working along with consumers to identify and source products that specifically meet their needs in a cost-effective manner.

The Catalyst Group also has a long history of association and support from reputable suppliers such as HENKEL, SASOL, ENGEN and BAYER, which allows delivery of products that are in line with latest technological developments. Years of loyalty as well as high volume purchases allow Catalyst Group to gain economies of scale, which are passed on the consumers as reduction in prices.

The expansion of Catalyst Group led to the opening of the Nairobi profit center in 1990, followed by profit centers in Arusha, Mwanza and Kampala. Industries served include pharmaceuticals, chemicals, coatings and adhesives, automotive and fast moving consumer goods amongst others.
