Mayfox Mining Company Limited is an indigenous Kenyan owned mineral exploration company which began operations in 2012. The company was founded by Kenyan industrialist and current Chairman of the Board, Manga Mugwe. It has since been exploring in Turkana County, Kenya and Busia, Uganda for gold (Au) and other precious minerals.

Mayfox Mining Company Limited has carried out a successful and detailed exploration programme in its Busia property in SE Uganda, which lies within the greater Busia- Kakamega greenstone belt which extends into western Kenya. The early stage exploration has identified several high potential targets for further follow up. The exploration projects in Turkana, Northern Kenya include three properties that have since been covered by airborne magnetic and radiometric survey with a total line coverage of over 11,390 km, this was done using Geotech Airborne Survey, South Africa, coupled with detailed geochemical sampling programmes. Mayfox Mining Company Limited has identified several target areas of gold mineralization and other precious metals in the three licenses.

The ongoing exploration activities both in Kenya and Uganda have indicated great potential for greater discoveries, with the next phases of exploration encompassing drilling that shall aim at attaining a JORC Mineral Resource that will take them into commercial mining.
