Spear’s  Ship Contractor’s Limited was incorporated in June 1979 among others to supply cleaning and rebagging gangs,tally clerks and watchmen for vessels calling at the Ports of Mombasa. It increased the services to include all forms of tally services, lashing and unlashing of containers on-board vessels and kraft paper lining of containers.the services were leter extended to road transport.It broadened to shipping agency services ,ship husbandry,  bunkering,fresh food and supply,provision of forklift and removal of garbage.

With increased demand for services and the need to enhance service delivery,units were set up through the incorporation of new and more focused subsidiaries.Through these units value added service has been achieved.

These include Spear’s Shipping Agency Kenya Limited ,established in 1993,to provide more focused ship agency services.The subsidiary currently represents: Mega Speed liners, Kalba Marine Services, Navix  Marine (s) Pte Ltd, Wiltex Marine Services Ltd and Teekay Shipping Canada.Operates oil tanker vessels with calss at the port of Mombasa three (3) times evry month  and other Tramp ships.The ship chandler division handles the supply of fresh fruit and fresh water e.t.c to ships.

Wiltex Marine Services Limited supplies the shipping industry with equipment parts and accessories, marine technical survey work, quantity control of bulk cargo ships,maintenance supervision e.t.c.

 

SGC has experience, expertise and services. We Serves 300 vessels each year and we conversant with the local east African coastline conditions and has strategic connections to serve principals efficiently and effectively.
